Hello parents! I understand there comes a point in your child's education where you may not be able to help them with the content anymore. Below, I have given some guidelines for helping with homework or ideas to help your child study for a math test.
Please don't get discouraged. There are ways you can help your child with Algebra IIA or Geometry without knowing the content. Just teaching your child good study skills is a HUGE thing in their education.
Please see the tab to my philosophy on Growth Mindset. It is very important that this mindset gets modeled around students so they know they are capable of anything!
If your child is struggling, there are many ways you can help your child. 1. Have your child review their notes daily. 2. Use the resources on our online book to get help. There are resources available to help. 3. Talk to your child about the importance of speaking up and asking questions in class. 4. Have them come to Advisory to get questions answered. 5. They can stay after school to get help. 6. Use Khan academy online. This website is free and provides videos over all of the concepts. 7. Look for a tutor. (However, tutors can be expensive. Therefore, be sure your child is doing everything possible BEFORE you do this.)
